Me and my boyfriend have decided to visit some of the most talked about cities in England, and the last one we’ve done is the so-called coolest city in the UK: Bristol. And although we had a great time, we couldn’t pin point the reason why Bristol was so good to us. Was it because of the tasty cider or the delicious food? Or was it simply the chance to escape the busy streets of London?
Where to Zzzzz
Not sure where you want to stay? How about a nice apartment in only the nicest part of Bristol? The Beech House apartments are clean, they are well situated and are honestly all you need on a weekend away. The best part about these flats is that they are in the best neighbourhood of Bristol: Clifton.
If you’re lucky enough to have time to walk about the city, Clifton village is a tucked away hubbub located just five minutes away from the centre. Whether you’re in the mood to check our the (awesome) suspension bridge, or if you would rather just shop, this neighbourhood has it all. Be careful though, discovering Clifton Village might keep you occupied for hours!
Where to eat
One thing that’s 100% sure about Bristol, is that the food there is especially good. Whether you want to have a relaxed pizza at the coolest brewery out there, want to join the locals during their usual dip, or whether you want a proper (what we would consider) Michelin star meal for a special night out, Bristol has literally got it all.
The city is known for its fine choice of places to eat, and is said to be one of the best places in the UK for foodies to discover. If you’re up for it, you could also sign up to a cookery class, or even do Bristol’s best food tour where you will try snacks from local producers. So, where will you to choose to dine?
What to Wear?
Although Bristol is a pretty breezy city due to its location, you should always try and adopt the quirky Bristol look. Coming from London, it’s hard to agree that a little city like Bristol could be owning the Fashion scene, but Bristol has actually got an incredible one and it seems like there’s always something going on.
Whether you love the sartorial side of the city, or if you’re more up for a party, find below some Bristol styles you’ll love. Just like all the most internationally acclaimed fashion cities in the world, London, Paris, Milan and New York, Bristol has also got its own Fashion Week! The city’s fashion week takes place in late September and usually showcases the best of the season’s street fashion.
