At a black-tie event or cocktail party, the right accessories can make or break an outfit. Finding the right fit for your look of choice is either something you’re highly invested in spending time on, or you find yourself throwing on your go-to pieces of jewelry that are foolproof. Highly valuable jewelry is becoming less and less frequent – either due to its lack of safety to walk around in it or because your most cherished pieces are locked away securely and you never end up wearing that vintage piece your grandmother gave you on your 18th birthday.
So what does that leave you with? A big question mark regarding how to take your look to the next level – luckily for you, our favorite kind of therapy is retail therapy and we went full in on hunting down chic, affordable and long-lasting jewelry pieces that are worth investing in. That being said, under £300 was a hard limit when picking out our best bets; whether it’s something we’ve already been wearing for a few months and keep getting compliments on, or an emerging designer whose creations will undoubtedly be spotting all over town, there has never been a better time to get you dazzled and sparkling in beautiful jewelry.
Fancy events aside, sometimes you just want to spoil yourself without going through the whole process of getting an actual new outfit – forget the big picture, make a small change here and there by adding a new gold-plated coin necklace to your look, or dropping pearl earrings by Alighieri to adorn your earlobes. Spruce up a casual little black dress or silk midi skirt and sweater with a set of gold tone and enamel bracelets by Roxanne Assoulin, or decorate your fingers with multi colored stone rings by Baublebar or Mondo Mondo. More than anything, you’ll see plenty of chain linked pieces, a current must have and highly coveted by fashion lovers worldwide and an elegant combination of pearls and gold, creating sturdy pieces for an instant statement.
