The moment a new batch of fresh new designers paves their path onto the fashion scene, it roughly takes a few minutes to establish your opinion – quite simply put, either you love ’em or hate ’em. Sometimes it’s not even a completely new brand, but one that’s been around for a while and just put out their best and most coveted collection yet. After going through a phase of primarily great designs only stemming from high-end brands with their accompanying high price tag, or downgrading to fast fashion high-street retailers, there was sadly nothing particularly great in between.

Thankfully though, since fashion is an ever (re)volving door of new products, there’s been an increase of fashion houses that nailed that hard to find middle point. Quality-wise, they need to be on top, when it comes to designs we look for creative styles, cuts and mindsets, and most importantly perhaps the price tag needs to match. Consumers don’t mind spending a couple hundred dollars for a dress or suit they know will last them at least a few years. That’s what we call investing in something we know we will wear over and over again. So if you, like us are in the market for said brands, please join us as we took a deep dive into what’s currently popping up for spring/summer.

From a pleasant revamp of new styles by LoveShackFancy (who are by the way killing their IG game), to Retrofête, a current favorite for dressing up in luscious draping fabrics, to California-based Dôen whose designs not only reflect elegant feminine silhouettes, but the company itself focuses on supporting and empowering women. If you’re looking to stock up on your basics, The Line by K is your next stop – created by blogger turned designer Karla Deras, expect 60’s inspiration drawn to modern and current wardrobe staples with meticulous attention to detail. If you’ve been following SS19 trends and are looking to suit up in the most fabulous way, take a look at the double breasted blazer and belted faux-leather jacket. In similar fashion, we turn to Matériel, a brand born from a Georgia-based duo reinventing contemporary styles with high-waisted faux-leather trousers, silk gauze shirts in canary yellow, and tons of neutrals. Lastly, for modern and young talent blended into bold styles and bright tones, NY-based Les Rêveries is the ultimate destination.

And if that isn’t convincing enough, do yourself and your upcoming spring/summer wardrobe a favor and scroll through to shop our top picks. We guarantee that there’s something in store for everyone – silk charmeuse dresses to pointelle tops in neon tones, raffia bags from Morocco, pearl and hoop earrings, florals and more!
