While we’re all for switching our wardrobes according to seasonal changes, trendy items are the ones we become the most mindful about. Though it’s a comforting thought and belief to come back to when being swamped with the latest it shoes, worn over and over by fashion editors, influencers, and celebrities worldwide, it can be easy to get tricked into hitting “buy now” at the latest cry. This season we’re thinking less is more, yes even when it comes to shoes which is hard to believe, let alone write out! But there comes a time when change is needed and the time is now.

As we embark onto warm weather outfits, one of the pieces we look most forward to wearing is without a doubt sandals. Nothing makes us happier to hop out of the house in the morning when it’s finally warm and balmy enough to slip into a pair of open-toe mules or strappy sandals that have patiently been waiting in their shoe boxes. 2019 however calls for a change in mood when it comes to footwear – we spotted the usual suspects like greek sandals, the classy single strap short-heeled style, slip-ons that are the easiest to put, as well as ankle-adorned delicate pieces. There has also been an influx of a pretty rare kind of sandals. We’re looking at plenty of see-through straps, croc-effect heels, so many wedges, funky and quirky heel styles and the thinnest strappy sandals your feet will ever encounter. It’s as though you’re trying to put on a pair of extremely distressed denim!

With such a huge wave of new styles, colors and designers, we gathered the most unusual sandals the fashion world has seen. Some may have a strange allure, and others are the epitome of cool girl style – let yourself be surprised and scroll through to shop spring/summer’s sandals edit
