There are definitely two type of people during those chilly months, those who absolutely love tights season and those who refuse to wear them and try to embrace their bare legs for as long as possible. I must admit that I never used to be a tights lover but since this trend kicked off last year, there’s literally nothing I love more than putting on a brand new pair to elevate my outfits.

It was already clear last winter that hosiery were making a massive fashion statement with different textures, colours and hues. Which means it’s time to be bold ladies, and here are some of the coolest ways you can partner up your tights with your dresses, shorts and skirts.

Small Polka Dots

The beauty of polka dots is simply that it can truly make an outfit come to live. Whether you opt for a sheer black pair, or want to add a bit of colour, you’re pretty spoilt for choice. The only thing you should be worried about is to make sure the dots aren’t too big to keep it classy. The winning look? Try a leather skirt with a comfortable oversized sweater and a classy pair of leather boots.

Colour Fever

Spotted all over this year’s fashion month, the unexpected tonal tights are here to stay this winter. Not only will these tights instantly pull your look together, they will also help you keep warm thanks to their thicker textures and better yet, they can even make your legs look much longer! Match a beige or green pair with a warm pair of shorts for the perfect winter work look.

Lace For Days

Are you also obsessed with lace? Well the good news is that you can now also wear them on your legs! Not only are these tights super classy, they are also the ideal choice for a polished look. Match them with a simple outfit such as a beige dress or a sweater dress and a pair of ankle boots for that it factor.

Rouge Obsession

And finally, the ones we’re dying to try on this winter is this sexy red obsession. Start by showing it off little by little by letting it show between your dress and your knee-high boots, and before you’ll know it you’ll also be as addicted to the colour as us. If wearing such a statement colour isn’t really your thing, you can also pick a more subtle, darker red. We personally love the effect of red with a gingham skirt or a dark blue coat! It’s all about the clash of block colours for this look! Think Jenny in Gossip Girl for inspiration.

We would love to see your outfits on Instagram so don’t hesitate to tag us on your best looks!
