What Bathing Suit Is Best For Me? | The Weekly Cut

For a weekly dosis of fashion & lifestyle news, special deals & more exciting content!

August is just around the corner which can only mean one thing: I’ll be hitting the Spanish beaches in no time! Hence the reason why I thought today would be the ideal opportunity to talk you through my online bikini shopping experience.

Although buying things such as bathing suits and underwear online may not be the best decision because it’s literally *impossible* to tell whether the style will fit your body type, I thought it could also be an opportunity to put together a style guide of some sort to help you guys out in your own swimwear shopping experience as you get ready for the summer.

Everyone should wear whatever makes them feel happiest, comfortable and confident and if you’re not keen on our recommendations, feel free to ignore us! Just as a starting point for inspiration, I rounded up some of the trendiest styles and cuts that also happen to look brilliant on different body shapes.

Flaunt your curves

I personally think there’s nothing better than a swimsuit that provides just a little bit of tummy coverage to truly show off your gorgeous curves. If you’re slightly wider in the bust and shoulder areas and have long legs you can’t wait to flaunt on the beach, these picks below are 100% tailor made for you. I would say try and stick to skinnier straps and focus on a v-neck shape for that extra oomph! If you’ve got it, might as well show it!

Join the club!

Are you part of the *small boobs clubs*? Look no further because all have to pack this summer is a gorgeous bandeau bikini. This style of bikinis is super versatile, so feel free to mix and match the tops and bottoms, and even repurpose the tops to wear out with a pair of high waisted jeans and maxi skirt!

Hourglass babes

I personally am a huge fan of a perfectly fitted high waistband bikini bottom that hits just above your hip bone area. Take it from me who’s got curvier hips and a smaller waist. Think Kylie Jenner as inspiration for this one as she’s the ultimate fan of the style. Better yet, look out for those with a slight dip in the front (the smaller the bottoms, the better) to truly emphasis your figure.

Give me a twerk

I’ve always been envious of women with peachy and full bottoms but have been told from a few friends that it’s not the easiest part to cover in a lot of standard bikinis! If you’re looking for full coverage, why not try out some boy short cuts? We all know they’re both feminine and sporty. However, if you’d rather lift up your bum up than hide it, then you could try a pair of high-waisted bottoms that will highlight your waist and bum.

And for all you beautiful ladies I’ve missed out, feel free to let us know in the comments below what bikini shape you like best!
